Wedding Videography and Aviator Travel Jib
Expressions Cinema owner and filmmaker Brian Berkowitz brings something to wedding videography that was unheard of less than a year ago – a jib! The time, size, weight, expense, and crew required to get a quality jib shot used to mean jibs and weddings just didn’t go together. What a shame when a sweeping jib or crane shot can really make the audience connect emotionally with what they are watching.
Now with The Aviator, even single shooters can quickly and easily set up a jib shot and tear down just as fast, adding big production value to even the smallest productions.
Based out of Long Island, NY Brian and his teammate Jason Aron get approximately 70% of their business from weddings (30% is corporate). Brian, a film school grad, brings the film making tools of the trade to his videography. And it shows.
They purchased The Mag Alloy Aviator Travel Jib as a low cost way to add higher production value to their weddings. But they are currently producing a documentary on The Delorean time machine from Back to the Future and it’s cultural impact https://www.facebook.com/pages/Back-In-Time/245209375620388?ref=ts&fref=ts. “We’re using the C100 for that so we might consider the carbon fiber model as were traveling a lot.”
Brian has only just started using his Aviator Travel Jib, but it’s already become an essential piece of gear. Brian told me, “We will definitely be bringing The Aviator along on all of our weddings.”
