Toronto based director Tim D from IOTA Creative isn’t wasting time putting his new Aviator Travel Jib to work. He was hired to shoot a company portrait / spotlight video and he wanted a nice overhead shot.
Typically these are done with a cumbersome rig that takes up a lot space, takes a long time to set up, and forces the camera to stay in one position. Sometimes it’s done with an angled mirror hung from above – also very time consuming and a pain in the neck.
Instead Tim just put a small ball head on the end of the jib and pointed the camera straight down. Super fast set up and very easy to pull off. Nice.
